Is therapy right for me?
Therapy is truly for everyone! Whether you are experiencing a significant life event or trauma or you are finding yourself stuck in patterns that you'd like to change, therapy can be beneficial. It is an opportunity to have a safe and confidential space to explore your concerns, develop coping strategies, gain insight into yourself, and work towards personal growth and healing.
I offer a 15 minute phone consultation free of charge to answer any questions you might have about starting therapy and to make sure we’re a good fit.
What can I expect in my first session?
Our first session will be an opportunity for me to hear and learn about your lived experience. I am excited to get to know you! We will move at a pace that feels right for you. I will have some questions ready but will let you guide the discussion so you can share with me what is most important in your life at this time.
How often do we meet?
Consistency is key when building the therapeutic relationship and making lasting change. We will meet weekly but you will always have the opportunity to adjust based on therapeutic progress going forward. Individual sessions are 45 minutes and couples sessions are 50 minutes.
Are sessions remote or in person?
I offer both remote and in-person sessions.
Do you take insurance or out of network benefits?
I am in network with Aetna. I am also an ‘out of network’ provider for other insurance companies and can provide invoices that you need for reimbursement. What is the fee and how do you accept payment?
My fee is $200 per session for individual clients and $250 per session for couples. Payments are accepted via credit or debit card, Zelle, or Venmo.
I also offer a sliding scale for those experiencing financial hardship. Eligibility for sliding scale is based on multiple factors including annual income. Please feel free to email me for additional information.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your weekly session is a time reserved just for you. I understand that life happens so if you need to cancel or reschedule, you can do so up to 48 hours in advance. If you don’t attend a scheduled session or don’t give 48 hours notice, you remain responsible for the full rate of the session.
